Credits are the currency used within EPIC. Each assessment costs a certain amount of EPIC credits. E.g., The Everything DiSC Workplace assessment is 15 credits.

ISSUING DISC REPORTS

1. Purchase credits

To determine the number of credits you need:

  • Multiply the # of reports by the # of credits; e.g., 10 Workplace reports x 15 credits per report = 150 credits.
  • click on the purchase credits link below
  • Click on yellow button "Add to Cart"
  • input number of credits for Quantity
  • Complete payment (if you'd rather play by ACH or check, send email with # of credits to disc@sepp6.com)

1. Purchase credits here

2. Gather names and email addresses

Gather respondent email addresses + first and last names

For one/few reports: You will add this information manually when Creating a New Report in EPIC

For a large group, you can simplify by collecting names and email addresses in a spreadsheet, with

  1. email address in the first column
  2. the first and last name in second column (e.g., Mateo Vega)
  3. “1” in third column(indicating respondents will receive report immediately - only option with Catalyst reports)

link to Spreadsheet

3. Prepare custom message (if using)

EPIC allows you to send a custom message along with the  standard instructions and link.

Sample custom message:

I am excited to provide you with access to DiSC, a well researched and respected team development tool we will be using to enhance collaboration within the organization. Please commit 20 minutes of uninterrupted time to answer the questions, considering them from a workplace perspective, completing the report by THIS DATE. You will first be asked to create a learner account. Upon completion of the assessment, you will have immediate access to the Catalyst learning platform, where you can learn about your style and look through the learning platform. If you have any questions, reach out to THIS EMAIL ADDRESS.

It is generally standard for new employees to receive a letter welcoming them to the organization after accepting a position. Here are some ideas to perpetuate the onboarding experience and reinforce belonging.

  • Provide a Workplace assessment, expanding their self-awareness and emphasizing your DiSC culture
  • Encourage use of Catalyst to learn about the styles of their new colleagues
  • Schedule a 1:1 meeting with their manager using the comparison within Your Colleagues, particularly exploring ways to manage and leverage areas of difference
  • Adapt onboarding conversations to meet the unique priorities of new staff, e.g., on day 1: Engage a D-style with an assignment they can own; have a group lunch for an i-style; check in at the end of first day with your new S-style employee to see how the day went and if they have any questions; ensure the new C-style employee has access to rules, regulations and policies.
  • Reveal the organization’s DiSC style/personality, sharing how it influences team culture, e.g., What might be mainstream and what might be more difficult?
  • Explore how the organization values “differences”
  • Allow DiSC to provide the launch to other conversations that build trust (learning about other aspects outside of style)
  • Managers can revisit employee’s style when providing a review, offering a challenging assignment, giving feedback – appreciative and developmental, and managing tension.

Branding your EPIC account

Key sections in Personal Settings

Contact Information: You have up to 7 lines of text of branded information that will appear on the front cover of your report. Only the first 2 lines are required. In addition to the  report cover, your Contact Information is also displayed on:

  • The signature block for email messages sent by EPIC to Respondents and Sub Accounts
  • The initial "Splash" page and final "Thank You" page on the Respondents' online assessment website

Company Logo: You can add your logo, if you have one. This will appear the same places as your contact information.

Administrator Name: the primary contact for your account. This name is displayed in the default email subject line when assigning online access codes,

Outgoing "From" Name: This is the "Friendly" name that appears before the bracketed email address, e.g., Your HR Team.

Custom Subject: I recommend to change the default that includes variable to: Action Requested: Complete your DiSC report

System Notifications: include admin email address(es) you would like to be notified when a learner completes a report.

Credit Reminder: If you want to keep a credit balance (to issue reports anytime, rather than waiting to receive credit transfers after payment), include that number here. If you insert 100, the email addresses you input in System Notifications (above) will receive an email alert that your EPIC Credit balance is running low.

Time Zone: Set your time zone, relevant when you set future deliver options for reports.

Session Timeout: As a security feature, EPIC automatically logs you out of the system when no activity is occurring. The default setting is 20 minutes of inactivity, but you can choose to increase this amount up to 120 minutes. (I use the max.)

View Report Online Default: Set a default of either Yes or No to have the View Report Online option default to one or the other for Respondents during Access Code creation - which you can override when sending reports. With Catalyst, reports are alwasy viewed.

Enable Future Delivery and Auto Reminder: You can initiate reports to be sent at a later date AND you can have the system send an automatic reminder to Respondents with incomplete assessments on a certain date. (I suggest you click to enable.)

Customize the subject line for the Auto Reminder email

Once you've activated the Delivery and Auto Reminder feature, you also have the option to use a Custom Reminder Subject when using the Auto Reminder feature. This allows you to specify a unique email subject line for the Auto Reminder email message.  (I suggest you click to enable.)

CLICK SAVE TO SAVE THESE SETTINGS. Then you can sample a report cover.
